Slovakia already has four family counseling centers, providing free services for couples or individuals

4.6.2022 (Webnoviny.sk) – There are already four family counseling centers in Slovakia, which provide free counseling and psychological services for individuals, couples and families.
According to the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Family Milan Krajniak (We are a family), their role is to help solve problems in marital and partnership relations in the event of divorce, so that children are not subject to disputes.
The fifth counseling center will be in Humenné
After Nové Zámky, Košice, Žilina and Trnava, it will be added as part of a pilot project during the fifth family counseling center in Humenné. The national project is funded by the European Union and the state budget in the amount of 3.2 million euros. After evaluating the first experiences, family counseling centers will increase in Slovakia over the next year, the aim is to establish at least 46 of them.
According to Minister Krajniak, two psychologists, two social workers and other experts will be available in each of them. The counseling centers are free to follow the tradition of marriage and premarital counseling centers, which operated in Slovakia from 1971 to 2005.
