The favored Kölner Lagen were down 0-1 by the end of the third quarter, but then scored three goals within seven minutes and thus secured progress. In the second semi-final between the MHC and finals newcomer Polo it was 0-0 up to the 45th minute. Then the Hamburgers made their first place in the final clear with three goals up to the 53rd minute.
While the MHC women were on course for the final against the HTHC after the first half, the second duel was much more exciting. Alster caught up from a 2-0 deficit, but missed a short corner eight seconds before the end and took the win.
