Athens: Man threatens residents and police with an ax (VIDEO)
Moments of terror unfolded on Agiou Fanouriou Street in Pagrati at 18.50 on Saturday afternoon (04/06).
A man, holding an ax in his hand, threatened police officers, after he had first caused terror to the locals, who saw him walking in the streets of the area, shaking the ax in his hands.
According to information from Law & Order, the 29-year-old man, originally from Albania, had caused damage with an ax to moving cars and was threatening people. Within 4 minutes, police officers of the Zeus group, who are informed about the incident, arrive at the spot and surround him. The police ask him to drop the ax and surrender with the man in a state of rage moving threateningly against them.
In fact, as seen in the exclusive video of L&O, the man tries to hit a police officer and then his colleagues fall on him and despite his strong resistance and for fear of being seriously injured, possibly fatally, they manage to mobilize him.
The men of the Zeus group then brought the 29-year-old to the Pagrati police station and found 29-cm-long knives-vocal weapons in his possession.
