In March, Portugal granted almost 24,000 protected protection requests
In March of this year, Portugal welcomed 2,930 people who fled the Russian invasion of their country, 4 to precisely 100 days ago, on February 2, 2022, under the regime of temporary protection. The numbers were this set of fairs released by Eurostat and which, according to provisional data, will have retreated in April.
According to this European Union (EU) statistical service, the countries that most welcomed Cheram under this regime were Poland (675,085), the Republic (244,650) and Slovakia (58,750).
According to provisional data for April, Portugal recorded the third decrease compared to March – minus 15,635 -, following Poland (-249,465) and Slovakia (-45,310), in a total of seven Member States in which the number of protections designed for the Ukrainians went down.
According to these same data, from March to April, Bulgaria and Lithuania recorded the biggest increases of nine member states that saw the Ukrainian refugee population grow.
In Monday’s acronym, the European Union Agency for Asylum Past (EUAA, in English) advanced that it had 1.6 million requests for protection designed for Ukrainians in the + (which counts the 27 member states, as well as Norway and Switzerland) in March.
The May Invasion, the EUAA advanced that three million people were registered to protect almost 9 of Ukraine, since the beginning of Ukraine by Russia.
