Students accompanied throughout the season by Mouv’ coaches (Yasmina Benbekai, Sonia Dechamps and Gianni Fassetta) in partnership with the Clemi (Center for Media and Information Literacy).
the Bruyeres High School of Sotteville-lès-Rouen focused on a difficulty that the students of the Norman establishment encounter on a daily basis: discrimination. These 15 students from Terminale, Première and Seconde goes to high school on the left bank of the Rouen conurbation, a place always described as sensitive. With the help of contributors from different associations and their establishment, the students tried to prove that the situation is changing, thanks to all these actors. Sonia Déchamps, who coached them for this project, describes the students as very involved: “they had a real desire to question the media discourse and to tell “their” reality”.
As for the college students of Villiers-le-Bel, they spoke with Calboone of the band members Arsenik for more than two hours. In this podcast, he talks to them about engaged rap and writing texts. The young people also wrote a rap to raise awareness and describe what young girls experience on the streets. A work on the importance of words and rappers pledge through the ages. Yasmina Benbekai says she discovered talents: “I was amazed by the talent of this class, both in their writing and in their way of expressing themselves”.
“A small group of 4th and 3rd motivated and full of life” : this is how Gianni Fassetta defines the students of the Pierre Emmanuel college in Pau that he was able to accompany. College students made a podcast immersive and human around civic engagement. The young people call on their listeners to do like them: put in place a shared garden for their neighborhood. Their college was near a wasteland to which a utility was needed: the FBI (wasteland bureau investigation) is launched. Through the podcast, the students tell the journey from the idea to its realization. Thanks to their work, they obtain the special mention of the Jury.
The Second and Terminale students of the Cité scolaire du Couserans in Saint-Girons in Ariège also received the special mention of the jury for their podcast “With open arms, welcoming migrants in Ariège”. For Gianni Fassetta “it was a great collaborative work in this group” . A podcast rich in speakers around immigration, with associations, testimonials and vox pops during a demonstration.
All productions were reviewed and awarded by a jury made up of 3 members : Nour-Eddine Zidane (editor in charge of media and information education at France Bleu and Mouv’), Thomas Rouchié (head of the “Educational Cities” project at CLEMI) as well as Erminie Blondel (soprano and founder of the Saint-Ouen sur Scène festival).
