Toulouse: 2.6 kg of heroin seized and a criminal on the run arrested
The Toulouse police have just got their hands on a network of heroin traffickers in Toulouse. A large amount was seized.
Nice price this Monday from the Toulouse police in the context of a vast heroin trafficking in the agglomeration. The affair began in May when specialists from the narcotics unit of the Left Bank launched an investigation into the world of drug addicts, heroin, cocaine and cannabis.
After spinning, tapping and monitoring, they managed to identify a hundred regular customers of the network. This worked in several ways. Orders could be taken over the phone and delivered, uber style. In other cases, drug addicts miss directly refueling from dealers they knew.
Monday, a man who has just bought a gram of heroin is arrested in flagrante delicto. Investigators begin their operation. In Portet-sur-Garonne, they get their hands on two traffickers in a bar where they have their habits. In their vehicle are drugs and money. They then go to two nannies, one of whom is a drug addict. A total of seven people are arrested for varying degrees of involvement.
On the drug side, the quantities are significant. 2.6 kilos of heroin, 35 grams of cocaine, 1.3 kg of cannabis are found as well as 8400€ in cash. Among those arrested is a 26-year-old man who is also wanted. He has been on the run for several years and must serve a 12-year prison sentence. He admitted to selling the drugs to finance his long escape. With him, three people aged 30, 33 and 37, including a man who occasionally hosted the fugitive, defended by Me Sarah Nabet-Claverie, of the Parra-Bruguière cabinet, were referred for an immediate comparison.
