San Marino. Architect Boeri meets the State Congress
Architect Stefano Boeri, accompanied by the Secretary of State for the Territory, Environment and Agriculture Stefano Canti, met the Congress of State this morning for a fruitful conversation on the subject of the 2030 Master Plan that the Republic of San Marino entrusted.
“The meeting – reports a note from the Secretariat of State – was opened by a greeting address from the Most Excellent Captains Regent Oscar Mina and Paolo Rondelli who, introducing the Secretaries of State at the table, added that the appointment was strongly desired to discuss the updates to the PRG and how the government Secretary of State Stefano Canti was given the path to approval.
Among the topics discussed, the amendment of the law that would make it possible to streamline the procedure for adopting the urban plan, the integration of the Strategic Areas (AS) identified by the PRG 2030 with the strategic infrastructural interventions envisaged by the Operational Plan, the provision of acoustic zoning in the areas industrial areas and the identification of “reserve” industrial areas in order to make possible the possible establishment of new productive activities. The need to carry out an assessment of the capacity of school buildings in relation to the needs that will arise in the next ten years was discussed in order to foresee, if necessary, the extension of the areas currently destined for these services; the safeguarding of acquired rights and the identification of areas of the territory where it is possible to move the buildability of areas classified as geomorphological hazard.
The will expressed by the Congress of State to integrate the PRG 2030 with the directives of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations.
The Secretaries of State wanted to specify that the principles proposed by Architect Stefano Boeri are absolutely not in question, just as there is no doubt about the innovation that a General Town Plan of this type can bring to the Republic of San Marino, in the same way, however. , there is interest on the part of the Congress of State that a project of this magnitude is perfected down to the smallest detail with the aim of minimizing appeals between first and second reading.
A few adjustments, therefore, before the first reading, towards which we will proceed quickly with the aim of achieving approval before the UNECE International Conference that San Marino will host next October.
In his speech, Architect Stefano Boeri explained how the work carried out both a high technical profile and how a true strategic plan with a future-oriented vision is a guarantee for the Republic of San Marino. “Reducing land consumption does not mean blocking building development” left the architect. “The Plan – he concluded – contains the most stringent indications on the subject of hydrogeological risk, speaks of sustainable viability and environmental protection and takes into account all international indications. You San Marino people have a very precious resource, enhance it by safeguarding it “.
