Guided visits to the Capitular Library of Verona Events in Verona
Guided tours continue to discover the Capitular through different formulas:
- Our path “1500 years of history – the Chapter of Verona”, to discover the millenary history of the oldest library in the world still in business and its treasures, continues given the great demand on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Accompanied by our guides, visitors will be able to discover the first traces of the Capitular in the evocative Canon Cloister and visit the rooms of the library including the splendid recently restored Monumental Hall. There will also be the opportunity to see some precious ancient manuscripts and printed texts up close, to reconstruct the events of the Capitular over the centuries starting from its extraordinary collections. The available dates are: 5th, 19th, 26th June, 3rd and 10th July.
- On Saturday morning at 11 am we are waiting for you with “Ipse scripsit: the Capitolare and its protagonists”, which tells the library and its history through the perspective and the words of the more or less known characters who have frequented and loved it over the centuries. and protected. Also in this case, original works related to the characters presented will be shown. Available on the following dates: June 4th and 25th, July 9th.
Guided tours, held by the library’s scientific staff, last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Full ticket: 15 euros, reduced (11-14 years / ICOM members with card) 8 euros, free admission up to 10 years.
