Near Toulouse, he tries to sow the gendarmes in swimming trunks and tap shoes over nearly 40 kilometers
A not trivial intervention this Saturday around 9:30 p.m. in Pibrac, west of Toulouse. Two patrolling police vehicles are cut off by a Peugeot 206. The driver is shirtless, an air mattress encroaches on the passenger seat. The soldiers then activate the flashing lights to ask the motorist to stop. But the young man refuses and accelerates.
A pursuit over several tens of kilometers
Despite their numerous appeals, the soldiers do not reach the stopper. They continue like this about forty kilometers between Pibrac, Colomiers and Balma. The driver then embarked on the Toulouse ring road, accelerating strongly, “with peaks at more than 150 km / hour”, according to a gendarmerie official. It will take five police cars and the use of “stop-sticks”, a device that works a bit like harrows, to stop the fugitive.
This is a young man from 23 years old, who drove without a license, without insurance and without technical control but who was not positive for alcohol or narcotics. He is already known for traffic violations.
He should be judged this Tuesday in immediate comparison in Toulouse.
