Porsche Supercup – Ten Voorde ahead of Boccolacci in Monaco
He suffered for almost 17 laps but Dorian Boccolacci offered himself a new podium in the Principality. Starting from 2nd place on the grid, the Martinet driver by Alméras saw Laurin Heinrich (SSR Huber Racing) come alongside him at the first corner. The 2022 Junior Porsche failed to overtake the Frenchman on the only occasion he had in this race.
Untouchable at the start, Larry Ten Voorde (Team GP Elite) perfectly managed the relaunch of the safety car. It had been deployed following contact between Stéphane Denoual (Pierre Martinet by Alméras) and Clément Mateu (CLRT) who had left debris on the track. The race leader then took off to win another victory in Monaco. Behind, Dorian Boccolacci had to contain Laurin Heinrich. In perpetual combat with his car, the Martinet d’Alméras driver never offered the German an opportunity to overtake.
After his 3rd place last year, Dorian Boccolacci climbs this time on the 2nd step of the podium in front of Laurin Heinrich. The two BWT Lechner Racing team cars of Dylan Pereira and Harry King complete the top 5. Starting 8th, Marvin Klein (CLRT) gained a place on the first lap and finished 7th. The 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup France champion made his debut on the Monegasque circuit. Next appointment for the Porsche Supercup from July 1st to 3rd at Silverstone.
