To believe in Luís Montenegro is to believe in the PSD and in Portugal

The Portuguese look to their future with great uncertainty. These are the young people who cannot access housing at the wages they earn, the elderly who have difficulty accessing health care, workers and workers without care in fees and taxes, retirees scared of rising prices and all a sign of hope on the part of the PS Government.

The country therefore needs a PSD that is an alternative that makes a difference in the lives of the Portuguese.

Portugal needs a strong PSD. It needs a PSD that resigns itself to the measure of socialist governance not since 2115. It needs a PSD that doesn’t conform to the left that doesn’t conform to a progressive movement and a decline in reference indicators. It needs a PSD that does not accept a State that wants to be everywhere, that has a huge tax burden, but that deteriorates public services and does not solve people’s problems. Take, for example, the teachers who continue to be absent from schools and the increasing number of people without family doctors.

Portugal needs hope.

I believe that Luís Montenegro will be able to give Portugal hope. I believe that with him the PSD will once again assert itself as the great Portuguese party, as a credible alternative to the stagnation and impoverishment of two decades of socialist governance. I believe that Luís Montenegro brings the great strength of the PSD, attracting the best cadres of civil society and motivating the PSD’s strong militancy.

I believe that Luís Montenegro will launch a new cycle in the PSD. A cycle of expectation, expectation, opening and expectation.

I believe that Luís Montenegro’s candidacy will reconcile the PSD with its militants and sympathizers, once again taking pride in its history.

I believe that with Luís Montenegro the PSD will once again unite and lead the non-socialist space, bringing together moderates and recovering the PSD’s tradition as a common home of social democrats, liberals, conservatives and democrats. With it, the PSD will reassume itself as the party of people and of answers to real and concrete needs, humanist, interclassist and solidary, reformist and moderator, ambitious and booster of the capacity of private initiative, pro-European builder of a full social economy market.

Luís Montenegro politics to his experience and ability, humanism, notoriety, vision, modernity and assertiveness so that the PSD can grow and return to being the great party of Sá Carneiro, Cavaco Silva and Pedro Passos Coelho and a true alternative to PS.

I believe that Luís Montenegro is in the best position to affirm the PSD and to be prime minister in 2026. With Luís Montenegro, the PSD will once again have a leader.

I know that Luís Montenegro believes in the PSD and its militants, just as he believes in Portugal and the Portuguese.

On Saturday, the 28th, we PSD militants will demonstrate that we are close in Luís Montenegro.

I believe.
