The Earth as a single large garden
The fourth edition of the San Marino Green Festival was presented last Wednesday at the Castello di Città house in the presence of the Captain of the Castle Tomaso Rossini, the representatives of the Secretariats of State for Tourism and Culture, Luca Lazzari and Lazzaro Rossini. To lead the dances Gabriele Geminiani, the creator of the festival. Not a real press conference, more a sort of upper room with training moments for the contributions of guests and friends of the festival. Among these the environmental activist engaged in the dissemination of energy communities, Viviana Manganaro, who spoke about the growing phenomenon of greenwashing and the expert in food and wellness for large hotels and communities, Paola di Giambattista, who indicated the ways for a food with a lower environmental impact and at the same time richer in nutrients. This year the green and beating heart of the San Marino Green Festival 2022 will be its itinerary of public and private gardens, the latter secrets to most, of the historic center of San Marino, a Unesco World Heritage Site. In these oases of multicolored nature, between alleys and towers, there will be meetings, workshops, exhibitions and artistic performances that will mark the day of Saturday 25 June. The day before, Friday 24th, the festival will set off from Podere Lesignano for a series of practical workshops including that of home horticulture, while in the afternoon there will be an itinerant meeting between the lake and vineyards with the landscape poet Franco Arminio. The title of the festival “The world as a garden” is an invitation to the participants to take care of that immense widespread garden that is the world, and to look concretely and critically at the themes of the future, from environmental sustainability to social in which we relate to the planet, to ourselves and to others. On Saturday 25 June at 5.00 pm, Prof. Francesco Ferrini, professor of arboriculture at the University of Florence and host of scientific conferences and television programs (GEO & GEO), will talk to us about the management of public parks in the city, sometimes at the basis of disputes between citizens and administrators. Small actions within the reach of each of us that can change the world, are the ones that Linda Maggiore will talk about next, in the meeting dedicated to a more sustainable domestic economy and specifically to How to become a true green traveler. Finally at 6.30 pm, at the end of the festival, a pyrotechnic appointment for young and old, with the performances of the Riciclato Circo Musicale, after their recent debut in RAI. In Mincole stories spanned in ariaus, on the other hand, the light touch of Iaia Zanella’s poetry, with its ethereal artistic installations. We will also have the opportunity to see her working on these tiny creations with her paraphernalia of things and minimal equipment. Many other initiatives, such as the cycle of readings and presentation of books by the Rodari Club, the Naturalistic Treasure Hunt of the Ass. Cailungo Calcio, Matteo Goglio’s poetry and music, Mara Verbena’s green thumb, Monica Moroni’s magic flute, and more. Guided tours on the itinerary of the gardens but also of the historical-landscape beauties will be possible thanks to the tour guide Chiara Macina. At the end, a toast at the Bar Galleria was an opportunity to give birth to new collaborations and synergies.
