Oscar Piastri driving an Alpine A110 Sastruga in Monaco
The Alpine A110 Sastruga will make its debut this Thursday in the famous streets of the Principality of Monaco for its first dynamic run in the hands of Oscar Piastri, reserve driver for the Alpine team in Formula 1.
Unveiled in April at the modern and contemporary art fair Art Paris, the Alpine A110 Sastruga is at the crossroads of artistic paths between Alpine Cars, its Formula 1 team and the collective of artificial intelligence artists Obvious. Inspired by Alpine’s sporting prowess, the A110 Sastruga uses the creative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithms to sport a unique imaginary circuit on its body on a theme echoing Alpine DNA. Alpine (a Sastruga is formed by the erosion of snow subjected to the wind on a solid surface, and is characterized by undulatory forms).
Further touches of Obvious’ never-before-seen work could be seen at the Alpine F1 team during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, with art displays on the A522 and subtle differences inside the garage and the hospitality of the team.
“On the same weekend that we are celebrating Jean Rédélé’s 100th birthday in Dieppe, we are very happy to see this wonderful creation get a taste of a Formula 1 circuit for the first time. What could be more special than to do it here in Monaco? , whose heart beats with passion for motorsport, just like our founder. » said Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine.
“Alpine always has an artistic and elegant side and we share this same artistic vision combining past and future, creativity and technology like Obvious. For Alpine, art is the perfect meeting point of elegance and technique. I can’t wait to discover the car and the details that will accompany us to the Monaco Grand Prix. »
