Summer weather will continue on Tuesday, with a change expected later this week
TUESDAY the day is expected to be the warmest day so far in the spring, says Helsingin Sanomat.
“The temperatures are high in the light of the seasons. Even if the high temperature breaks on Monday, it won’t count, as even warmer has been promised for Tuesday. Juha FöhrForeca meteorologist, stated Helsingin Sanomat on Monday.
On Monday, mercury rose to more than 20 degrees in several locations, including 21.7 degrees in Kouvola and 21.6 degrees in Nurmijärvi.
Today, even more summer mercury is expected to rise to 15–20 degrees in much of Finland. The thermometer shows at least 20 degrees in the southern and western parts of the country and about 15 degrees near the eastern border. The 20-degree limit may also threaten the southwestern part of Lapland.
“The weather will be much better for a holiday or vacation than the rest of the week,” Föhr summed up.
Wednesday is forecast to be more cloudy and showers may occur in the western part and cloudy in the eastern and northern part of Finland. Temperatures in the southern and western parts remain between 15 and 20 degrees, and the area from Eastern Uusimaa to the Bothnian Bay and Lapland can be as high as 20 degrees.
“If the snow cover falls, which cools the air in some places in Lapland.”
On Thursday, the weather will remain sunny in the east and north, but will rain significantly in the south and west of the country.
“The rains are no longer local, but Thursday will simply be a rainy day in the south and west. It’s also cooler because of the rain, even if the air mass isn’t replaced by anything, ”Föhr said.
Mercury is set to float between 10 ° C and 15 ° C in much of the country and slides to the lowest range in the wettest areas. In the eastern part of the country, mercury can rise above 15 ° C but remain below 20 ° C.
On Friday, the weather is clearly affected by a low-pressure system that moves from east to southwest, towards the central and southern parts of Finland. Temperatures remain between 10 and 15 degrees in many places due to rain.
“We have a small storm, but not quite snow,” Föhr said.
The center of the low-pressure system will hover over southwestern Finland on Saturday and bring rainfall to the country’s southern and western regions. In the east and north, the rains are milder and isolated.
Sunday is also forecast to be rainy in the south, and new rainfall systems are forecast to arrive in the east and north.
