“Memories of San Marino” space inaugurated
“San Marino Memories” is a project that stems from the experience of the “5R Ama il Riuso” Center, commissioned by the Autonomous State Company for Public Services, which over the last three years of activity has made it possible to recover numerous objects identity of the Republic of San Marino, its history, its culture, its artistic and literary expressions. Objects removed from certain destruction and therefore their definitive disappearance from the social and cultural heritage of this country. For this reason it was decided to create a specific, a sort of “memory room” in which all the relics are collected and ready to rise to a new life, for the pleasure of collectors, experts and ordinary citizens who care about history and the past of your country. A sector that this morning was inaugurated, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, the University and Scientific Research, Andrea Belluzzi and the top management of the Autonomous State Company for Services: The President of the Board of Directors, Francesco Raffaeli and the General Manager, Raoul Chiaruzzi. The “room of memory” is an initiative intended to underline the link of these objects with the San Marino community and their prerogative of historical memory, which aims to bring the public closer to assets of historical and artistic interest. An active between San Marino citizens and the territory of San Marino, in a sort of journey into the memories and collective memory of a people, which passes through books, paintings, ceramics, stamps, documents and objects of various kinds, strictly linked to the Republic of San Marino, which strongly emphasize an identity and a sense of belonging to a community. “San Marino Memories” is part of the philosophy of the Center “5R loves Reuse” and perfectly interprets its role, which is not only active in saving from the destruction of disused objects, still in good condition, allocating them to new life but which wants to promote overcoming the “throwaway” culture, through a circular economy model that already allows us to collect, every year, over 60 tons of waste with a potential for reuse and reuse, in line with the guiding principles of the Environmental Code.
