Cracow. Eighteenth Equality March – TVN24
Rainbow flags on the streets of Krakow. This year’s Equality March was organized for the eighteenth time, the second time under the patronage of Jacek Majchrowski, the mayor of the city. Among the slogans – “Krakow free from obligation”.
On Saturday, May 21, just after The Equality March has started along 15 streets of Krakow. Participants gathered in front of the National Museum on 3 Maja Avenue, from where the route was marked out along Piłsudskiego, Straszewskiego, Podwale, Szewska Streets to the Main Square, and then along Grodzka, św. Idzi, Zwierzyniecka, al. Krasiński, with the finale again in front of the National Museum, where the participants arrived at 5 p.m.
During the march, shouts of “Only love!”, “Krakow free from error!”, “Poland for everyone, Krakow for everyone” were raised.
According to the uniformed services, the parade was peaceful, and about 9,000 people took part in it. The police recorded one incident in connection with another gathering – a man kicked and damaged a prop (gallows) by a participant in a counter-demonstration at the town hall tower.
Equality March for the eighteenth time
The Equality March in Krakow was organized for the eighteenth time. Just like the event in Poland this year: previously similar events took place in Koszalin (April 2), Gniezno (May 7) and Łódź (May 14). The next ones are announced in Gryfino and Milicz (May 22), Tricity (May 28), Sanok and Zielona Góra (June 4), Wrocław (June 11), Warsaw (25), Poznań (July 2), Bielsko Biała (July 3) ), Kielce (July 9), Opole (July 16), Szczecin (August 20), Katowice (September 3) and Słubice (September 4).
