Mercato Bordeaux : Déjà deux départs ?
Sentenced to Ligue 2 next season, the Girondins de Bordeaux must also avoid administrative relegation, and therefore sell players. And that’s good, two players are already on the start.
In Bordeaux, eyes are already on next season. A season in Ligue 2, a first for 31 years for the club, which risks falling even lower through its finances. To avoid a second disaster, the competent Girondins degrease well within the club, among the employees, but also in its workforce. Relegation obliges, the most ambitious players will not want to stay at the club but to return to the elite or find other championships.
This is the case of Junior Onana, whose market value is estimated at 4 million euros. A good rating which is due to his status as a Cameroonian international, but also his current contract until June 2026 with the Girondins. A first club is interested, and it is Galatasaray. An offer could be made by the Turkish club, advised by Luis Campos, former sporting director of Lille, or a Cameroonian who evolved before joining Bordeaux.
Back to basics for Costil?
The other Bordeaux on the start is Benoît Costil. For him, the departure has already been recorded for months, being at the end of the contract and cold with his club. A departure that will reduce the payroll, because the Girondin doorman receives between 180,000 and 200,000€ each month. If the tracks send him to Rennes, like every year, he could return to Caen reveals Ouest-France on Monday.
A club formed by Benoît Costil, SM Caen is looking for a new number 1 goalkeeper after the departure of Rémy Riou at the end of his contract. The 35-year-old doorman could find his brother there, Eddy, who has just been extended as goalkeeper coach.
