Costa says that choosing Portugal as a partner for Hannover Messe’22 is recognition of the Portuguese industry – Observer
The prime minister is advocating this Wednesday that Portugal’s greatest choice as a partner of Hannover Messe country2, the recognition of the work developed by Portuguese companies, but defended greater industrial choice to transform a society.
A Caminho de Hanover Messe is a work that has been developed by Portuguese companies, at the recognized meeting “A Caminho de Hanover Messe in Aveiro”.
The chief executive said that this recognition also explains “a large part of the good numbers” that were confirmed this week by the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund, which revised upwards as their basis for the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) english, the which demonstrates “the resilience of the Portuguese economic fabric in the face of such challenging times”, such as the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
In his speech to businessmen, Costa considered that the Portuguese must have confidence in the way in which the scientific and business system “they have resisted these short times”, but “it has to transcend to face the conjuncture” that Portugal has to transcend to face and the short-term goals it has to achieve.
“Our Portuguese society tends to be one of reaching the transformative potential of the decade”, he stressed.
In this sense, the Prime Minister highlighted the program of mobilizing agendas, to which 64 consortia applied with a total investment intention of 8.8 billion euros that have to be carried out by 2026, as being a “portuguese enterprise transformational enterprise and what is the profile of the economy”.
“In mid-June we will have the final results of the jury. Until then, I cross my fingers so that everyone can win, because the more winning is the ability to transform our economic fabric that this program of mobilizing agendas will have”, he concluded.
With these “On the way to Hannover” sessions, the Government intends to hear the progress and highlight the importance of the presence of Hannover Messe22, which will take place from 30 May to 2 June.
Portugal is this year’s partner country and attention should be focused, in addition to Germany, on the Portuguese market, which will have an opportunity to show what is produced in our country.
The third and final session takes place on the 24th of May, in Sintra.
