Salzburg municipality celebrates the “Long Night of Diversity”
On Saturday, Salzburg showed itself from its flashiest and most colorful side – and for a good cause: During the “Long Night of Diversity” donations were collected for HOSI Salzburg under the motto “The family does something”.
A hustle and bustle in Salzburg’s scene bars
The “Long Night of Diversity” was organized by drag queen Gigi La Pajette – she was supported by 54 volunteers who made this evening a real highlight. This year the Salzburg scene locations “Mexx”, “Dark Eagles” and “Fungo’s” took part.
The program included items such as “handbag target throw” or “the last unicorn”. There were also drag shows or singing performances. The audience appreciated the hustle and bustle and flocked in large numbers to the participating locations.
The “Long Night of Diversity” was traditionally opened in the rooms of HOSI Salzburg by Social Councilor Anja Hagenauer from the SPÖ and the Green Councilor for Building and Construction Martina Berthold. “This is a sign of appreciation for our work,” says Conny Felice, Managing Director of HOSI Salzburg.
The proceeds help to finance the offers of HOSI Salzburg
Felice is happy about the cohesion in the queer community: “The Long Night of Diversity lives from the many artists and volunteers who are supporting us this year,” says the managing director of HOSI Salzburg.
The net proceeds from the “Long Night of Diversity” benefit HOSI Salzburg. “The income helps us to finance our wide range of offers – from advice to educational projects and the numerous group offers,” says Felice happily.
