Venice, St Mark’s Square Trophy: it’s the challenge to the last cocktail – Chronicle
Venice, 16 May 2022 – A mix of six ingredients and 10 minutes to prepare the best original cocktail of the lagoon. Kicked off this afternoon at Venice the first edition of the “St Mark’s Square Trophy“, The competition open to bartender professionals who challenged each other to prepare their own drink with an original recipe. I’m 20 professionals competingevaluated by a jury of experts.
Open to only 20 participants, coming from all over Italy, the competition took place inside the Cafés in Piazza San Marco. The Councilor for Commerce of Venice intervened at the appointment, Sebastian Costalongaas a member of the jury, together with the president of the Piazza San Marco Association, Claudio Venierand others six bosses of race. Yesterday, the best pastry chefs in the world met at Padua in an event that involved the whole city.

The competition was organized by Abi Professional and the Piazza San Marco Association, with the collaboration of some sponsors, for bring young people closer one this profession. The winner will be given a Murano glass trophya work specially designed for the occasion by the Promovetro Consortium of Murano.
