“The Huracán Tecnica is a perfect car for Monaco”
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann agreed to answer questions posed by Monaco Tribune and Radio Monaco.
can you tell us more about the Lamborghini dealership makeover? What should the public expect?
This new dealership meets exactly the new standards that we have everywhere else in the world. But the most important thing is the change of address. We were a little outside of Monaco Monte-Carlo, and today we are in the center, where everything happens. We are also here to celebrate this reopening.
What are your objectives in Monaco and in the rest of the world for this year 2022?
The first quarter was exceptional. Unexpected, too, with the new geopolitical situation, but also the logistics problems around the world, the Covid in China… All these elements have led to figures on a macro-economic scale, but every day we sell more cars than we do. are not able to produce positive, so it is very for us.
We are, on the one hand, focused on demand, of course, but at the same time our supply remains below demand. The luxury industry, and the luxury car, means not saturating the market.
We have a lot of opportunities here in Monte Carlo, but this year it is very difficult to discount, because of the problems I mentioned earlier.
The Huracán Tecnica will soon be on the streets of the Principality, tell us about this new model! Is it important to see him here, in Monaco?
It’s very important to see this car here, because Monte-Carlo is a place where many people meet, where you see very wealthy people. The Huracán is our most successful sports car, if only in terms of numbers. Last month, we produced and sold 20,000 cars to our customers.

The Tecnica combines everything that is important to us: lifestyle, ease of driving, performance… I think it’s a perfect car for Monte-Carlo, but also for the rest of the world.
Monaco is an important place for the environment. When will we see an electric Lamborghini on the market?
We have a very clear roadmap for the future: in 2023 and 2024, we will move upmarket. All of our cars will be hybrids, but we promise they will be even more capable than today’s generation.
CO2 emissions, from 2025, will decrease by at least 50% compared to those emitted today. The very first 100% electric Lamborghini car will probably be available by 2028.
A word on the Monegasque market, which is very competitive: what sets Lamborghini apart, what are your strengths?
We were born out of a challenge. We build cars that fulfill the dreams of our customers and also those of our fans, even if they may not be able to afford one of our cars.
We are daring, authentic, we are original, we have a very marked design, an exceptional performance… This is what our customers appreciate, not only in Monte-Carlo, but all over the world.
