Milton Nascimento includes Portugal in his farewell tour | Music
The farewell tour of the stages of the Brazilian musician Milton Nascimento passes through Portugal, in the summer, with concerts in Lisbon, Castelo Branco, Porto and Braga, was announced this Monday.
Milton Nascimento, one of the greatest representatives of the so-called Brazilian Popular Music, announced in October last year that in 2022 he would carry out a farewell tour, “A Última Sessão de Música”, the same name as one of the songs on the album Miracle of the Piscesedited in 1973.
This Monday, in a publication on the musician’s official page on the social network Instagram, they were announced as tour data, which include concerts in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal and the United States of America.
In Portugal, concerts are scheduled for June 23, in Lisbon, at Coliseu dos Recreios, June 26, in Castelo Branco, at Cineteatro Avenida, June 29, in Porto, at Casa da Música, and July 2, in Braga, at Theatro Circo.

The composer has been having health problems (he has diabetes and heart problems) and in his last covid-19 performances in Brazil, his state of health was evident, as well as his difficulties in walking on stage, so he had to sing while sitting. The singer, songwriter and musicians, who completes 60 years of career, recorded 34 years and has performed with groups and musicians from other countries, such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Mercedes Sosa, Fito Paez, Peter Gabriel, James Taylor, Sting, Paul Simon and Duran Duran, in addition to his compatriots Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, among others.
The Brazilian received five Grammy Awards, including one in 1997 in the World Music category for his album Birthand a Latin Grammy in 2000 for Best Contemporary Pop Album for Singer.
