Civil cop stops wild alcohol driver on the highway – Salzburg
At the weekend, the police will take rigorous action against alcohol and drug drivers. In one case, it was even an off-duty officer who intervened.
The Salzburg police are cracking down on alcohol and drug drivers at the weekend. Occasionally, however, Inspector Coincidence came to the rescue. Because that’s how it was on Sunday afternoon, an off-duty officer who noticed a pick-up driving in wavy lines and without lights in the direction of Salzburg in the Katschberg tunnel on the Tauernautobahn.
In the area of the St. Michael exit, the off-duty officer was able to stop the pick-up. As part of the further official action by the responsible police officers, an alcohol content of 1.5 per mille was determined. It also turned out that the 20-year-old car driver had never been in possession of a driver’s license. The 20-year-old Romanian citizen WILL be reported. The vehicle keys and the vehicle were handed over to the company boss of the 20-year-old.
Driver’s license gone without breathalyser test
Attentive road users had previously reported to the police a car driver who was driving in a wavy line and who was driving his vehicle on the B 99. The 36-year-old local was stopped in the center of St. Michael and asked for an alcohol test due to stronger alcohol symptoms. According to the police, the man refused the alcohol test. Drug driver (29) stopped
A 29-year-old was also checked in Anif on Sunday. Because officers noticed symptoms of drug impairment, they performed a saliva test, which came up positive. The 29-year-old refused the subsequent clinical examination. In the course of the official act, it also turned out that the man did not have a valid driver’s license. He is reported for several administrative violations.
Alcoholic handlebar stopped with 1.96 per mil
Shortly after 1:00 p.m., a 40-year-old from Pinzgau rode his motorcycle on the Felbertauernstraße from Lienz in the direction of Mittersill. At kilometer 28.2 of the road, the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and fell. At the time of the accident, a police patrol was driving directly behind the motorcycle. The 40-year-old was slightly injured in the traffic accident and, after first aid, was taken to the Mittersill hospital by the ambulance. The alcohol test carried out at the accident site showed a value of 1.96 per mille. The driver’s license was withdrawn. The 40-year-old Pinzgauer is shown.
