AC Milan is almost there, City is scared
Like every Monday morning, back to the main events in the four other major European championships.
Bundesliga (34th and last day)
Stuttgart beat Cologne 2-1 (thanks to a goal from Endo, in stoppage time), while Hertha Berlin lost 2-1 to Dortmund (goal for Dortmund in the 84th minute). Suddenly, Stuttgart escapes thanks to a better goal difference (-18 against -34). At the top of the table, Leipzig (1-1, at Arminia Bielfeld) confirms its 4th place, but Freiburg is overtaken by Union Berlin (winner of Bochum, 3-2) for the 5th place.
Bayern, already champions, end the season with a draw (2-2) at Wolfsburg, after leading 2-0, with perhaps the last goal from Lewandowski (son 50th of the season) in the Bavarian jersey.
PREMIER LEAGUE (37th daytime)
Led 2-0 by West Ham, Manchester City came back to 2-2, but Marhez missed a late penalty. The Citizen need a victory in the last game to win the title. Tottenham beat Burnley 1-0 and came under pressure from Arsenal, who play Newcastle tonight (9pm). The Gunners are fifth (with two points and a game less). In the race to maintain, we note the defeat of Everton on their lawn against Brentford (2-3) and the draw of Leeds against Brighton (1-1).
A-SERIES (37th daytime)
Both Milan teams won. Milan against Atalanta Bergam (2-0), with a very good Theo Hernandez (scorer), and Inter in Cagliari (3-1). Suddenly, it’s the status quo in the lead before the last day: AC Milan retains a two-point lead and a better goal difference in particular. Inter will have to win against Sampdoria and hope for a defeat of AC Milan at Sassuolo, to be champions.
LIGA (37th daytime)
The first four draw (Real on their lawn against Cadiz, 1-1, Atlético against Sevilla FC, 1-1, and Barça in Getafe, 0-0). Villarreal fell at home to Real Sociedad (1-2) and lost all hope of taking sixth place.
