Three years after the last edition, this morning the eighth edition of the awarding of the recognition to the supporters of the community. Forty-two winners A gesture with which to express affection, help, comfort, but also essential to say a simple thank you. It is the Embrace, an act of antonomasia within San Patrignano, which the community has chosen to symbolize to join those who have been close to it in recent years. A gesture and a ceremony that, due to Covid, have been missing for too long in San Patrignano. The last edition was held in 2019 and today the community has returned to deliver the awards. A day of celebration to celebrate those who, even in these years of difficulty, have been at the side of the community of helping it to carry out its mission. “Often a hug is much more effective than many words and every San Patrignano boy knows how difficult it was to avoid this contact during the pandemic – affirms Alessandro Rodino Dal Pozzo, president of San Patrignano – This is why we return to affirm this recognition that we have he wanted to call Abbraccio has a double value for us: that of thanking those who help us, but also looking to the future with greater confidence. These have been years strongly marked by covid, with a decrease if not a zeroing in the entries of the children on the path at the beginning of the pandemic. Today we can say with a smile that we have almost returned to a monthly average of reception close to pre-covid levels. At the same time we managed to successfully carry out our prevention activities, returning today to schools and with over 100 students a day visiting the community ”. A ceremony conducted by the actor and director Francesco Apolloni really felt by all those present, which saw 42 winners, divided into 9 categories. A very touching moment was the one conceived by the community’s artistic pole, dedicated to the Ukrainian people and in support of peace. Artistic pole supported by the Lavazza Group which received the recognition, in the person of the vice president Giuseppe Lavazza, who expressed his personal applause to the performance of the boys: “I am an art lover because art allows you to convey many messages, to explore ourselves and overcome fears. It is a universal language to face and understand contemporary problems ”. If the prize awarded to Massimo Di Carlo, of the Galleria dello Scudo, is linked to art: “Being in San Patrignano is a unique emotion and seeing the children of the community’s artistic center I can only confirm that art is the medicine of soul “. Other important awards were assigned within the fundraising category. Here the hug went to Carlo Messina of Intesa San Paolo, whose award was collected by Sofia Narducci:” The three-year collaboration we have activated has been important for the daily life of the community, but also for our employees who were able to meet more about their role as parents and educators. An important exchange that has greatly enriched us “. In the same category, recognition also goes to Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo:” Every time we come to the community we see a family, something difficult to create on paper but only possible through the commitment of fantastic people. ”Award also for Graziano Verdi, ceo of Italcer and to Antonio Masenza, vice president of Ingraam Micro: “It is a reality made up of many silent heroes who are an unattainable example”. To close with the category it was the turn of the group of the Ambassadors of San Patrignano, who decided to take charge of this production and tell the commitment of the community: Arianna Alessi, Federica Barbaro, Francesca Bazoli, Maria Cristina Bertellini, Sandra Carraro, Dominga Cotarella, Ghilla di Canossa, Marilù Faraone Mennella D’Amato, Beatrice Garagnani, Lidia Finco, Servane Giol, Silvia Malacalza Castelli, Alessandra Marzari, Martine Orsini, Federica Pesenti, Cristina Piaggio Croce, Roberta Rossi, Clementina Scaroni Radice Fossati, Francesca Zanconato Scaroni, Laura Bonomi, Francesca Clavarino, Simona Fino, Veronica Hercolani and Emanuela Mondini. An embrace that further sanctioned the harmony between San Patrignano and the Emilia Romagna region, with the awarding of the award to President Stefano Bonaccini. “It is the eleventh time that I have gone up to San Patrignano in seven years and I truly believe that if you don’t come, you cannot understand and you cannot judge. Over the years, the relationship between the community and the region has consolidated, so much so that there are important conventions on health and agri-food. It is a great opportunity to have a community like this in our area “. Health was particularly nourished, which saw the awarding of the prize to Cristina Le Grazie, Medical Director of Gilead Sciences Italia, a company thanks to which San Patrignano was able to achieve the total eradication of Hepatitis among girls and boys recovering in San Patrignano C. To receive the award Gabriele Forcina, Medical Director of the HIV area of Gilead: “It was a great result not only for the community, but for all public health, as it is a project that can also be exported to others competitions “. Again in the Health category, the award went to two doctors who have been collaborating with the community for some time, the radiologist Paolo Pantani and the ophthalmologist Luca Cappuccini: “It is much more what we have taken than we have given and for this reason we will continue to commit ourselves to the community as long as possible “. Retracing the history of the community, the hug went to Judge Gaetano Vitale, one of the first to believe in the community’s educational project: “I saw many young people being reborn in the community and at that point I understood that it could also be a right place for minors, help them start again ”. For the Handicraft category, the award went to the designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen of Paolo Moschino Ltd who are connected directly from London: “It is incredible to have discovered such a place on the web, a place more than painful. And it is an honor to collaborate with the children of the artisan workshops “. In the Training section, one of the cornerstones on which the recovery path of San Patrignano is based, the award went to Barbara Piazza, managing director of Ruthinium “This is a place that either you live in, or that is really difficult to understand . We will continue to live it for a long time ”. Finally, two were awarded in the Prevention category. First of all Alberto Zambianchi, president of UnionCamere Emilia Romagna, who has the project within the region tomorrow: “It is essential to continue working on young people for the”. Second prize winner Giovanni Quaglia, president of the CRT Foundation, who helped bring the WeFree project to Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta: “San Patrignano is a community in name and in fact, the testimony of how we can grow”.
