Bulgaria is negotiating gas supplies at prices several times lower than recently agreed with Gazprom, Lena Borislavova said

Options for the supply of natural gas from Turkmenistan, Egypt, Turkey and other countries are being further investigated in order to have real diversification, Borislavova added.
She said that the Azerbaijani gas under this agreement, which “very helpfully the previous comment was abandoned”, is worth 25-26 euros, while currently the price in Europe is about 90 euros. Borislavova recalled that Prime Minister Petkov had agreed on the full quantities of Azeri gas, even if the connection with Greece is not built on time.
During the long-term gas supply contracts will be directly with companies that supply gas without any intermediaries. According to Borislavova, at this stage there are no economic or legal considerations for the nationalization of strategic sites such as the refinery in Burgas.
