Monaco continues, Elan Béarnais qualified
Thanks to a final free throw from Léo Westermann, Monaco narrowly won on the Limoges floor (88-89). Pau-Lacq-Orthez, who fell for Strasbourg (88-76), is now guaranteed to participate in the Betclic Elite play-offs.
The Betclic Elite calendar is finally up to date! On the move on the Limoges floor as part of the 32nd day, Monaco extended its winning streak in the league with difficulty. If the CSP made the best start, the “Roca Team” ended the first quarter on a 16-4 which allowed them to fly away on the scoreboard. An advantage that Mike James’ teammates (21 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists) were able to keep above the ten-point mark for the entire second quarter. But, on the return to the Beaublanc floor, the CSP raised his voice. Demonte Harper’s teammates (22 points) quickly made up for their delay to approach the last ten minutes with an eleven length lead. A last quarter which saw the Limougeauds race in the lead until the last moments. A 9-0 allowed Monaco to come back to the top at the very end of the match. At fault on Léo Westermann (16 points, 6 rebounds), Hugo Invernizzi (5 points, 6 assists) offered the victory to Monaco (88-89). The Principality’s club came back up to ASVEL before the last day when Limoges was in fourth place.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez guaranteed to be in the Top 8
Strasbourg could not take revenge. Barely three weeks after the final of the Coupe de France won by Elan Béarnais, the SIG once again lost against Pau-Lacq-Orthez as part of the 28th day.. After ten balanced first minutes, the Béarnais raised their tone under the impetus of Vitalis Chikoko (22 points, 14 rebounds) to take up to eleven points ahead before halftime, reached with a margin of eight lengths. A 7–2 start in the third quarter allowed Pau to once again surpass the ten-point lead and stay above it until the start of the last ten minutes. The Strasbourg, despite John Roberson (20 points) and Amine Noua (15 points, 6 rebounds), have never had the weapons to be able to change the situation. At the end of 40 minutes, Pau-Lacq-Orthez wins by twelve units (88-76) and becomes the seventh club guaranteed to take part in the final phase of the Betclic Elite. The Strasbourgeois, current sixth in the standings, see their opponents of the day approaching a victory before the last chapter of the regular season.
