The Gourmet Workshop | Rouen.fr
Chic and unusual, the new delicatessen at 9, rue de l’Epicerie has been offering since April 19 both things to see and eat. Created by three partners, including Paul Delahaye, gallery owner and Baptiste Briffaut, caterer, the shop elegantly combines works of art and artisanal products.
A case in black and wood to highlight the beauty… On the walls as well as on the shelves and the counter that sits in the middle of the shop, art is omnipresent.
Because the Atelier gourmet has the particularity of showing both the talent of contemporary artists and the know-how of the French regions, whose products have a very aesthetic packaging.
A bias desired by the founders of the delicatessen who wanted to create a soft atmosphere that exudes a certain art of living, a few meters from the cathedral.
Surrounded by works for sale from Paul Delahaye’s Outsiders gallery, the products on offer come from not only local craft businesses, but also from other French regions and even unique Italian and Spanish producers.
“Our products have a history, an ethic and are durable, underlines Jeanne, store manager. We find there all the love that these women and men bring to it, who put all the quality of their know-how into it.”
There are spreads from Myriam and Vascoeuil as well as vintage sardines from the Vendée cannery La Perle des Dieux, from Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie, as well as jams from Parisian jam made the old-fashioned way in cauldrons. in copper and Norman ciders.
Italian wines, sliced cheese and charcuterie, goat or cocoa mustard, coffee, tea, spices, the range of selected products allows you to invent, one evening, on the go, a gourmet and gourmet aperitif as well as indulge yourself with original flavors that have all been tasted.
Soon, amateurs could even find truffles there that Jeanne offers to grate directly on a delicate slice of ham. Something to titillate the taste buds…
