The gendarmes dismantle a vast network of crooks between Toulouse, Perpignan and Bourges
A crook in his sixties, François Bonnaventure, known as Mr. Kleber, was, according to our information, in the sights of the gendarmes for several months. The Toulouse Research Section, “supported by the gendarmerie groups of Haute-Garonne, Pyrénées-Orientales, Cher and the Legal Support Section of Toulouse” specifies the gendarmerie group of Haute-Garonne, carried out a vast raid last Monday requiring around forty soldiers. An investigation led by the Bordeaux JIRS, an interregional jurisdiction specializing in international crime.
Investigators had suspected Bonnaventure and his accomplices of concealed work, scams and criminal association for several months. Five people, including the main suspect, were arrested on Monday at Boulou, Perpignan and Bourges. The Occitan gendarmes had put a specific cell on this case because Bonnaventure was obviously not at his first attempt, the man “was under an arrest warrant for a 6-year prison term” and “was arrested as he was preparing to cross the Franco-Spanish border to continue his actions there”.
According to the gendarmerie group 31, “he had set up a vast system of placement of employees in the middle of traditional catering through functional structures such as temporary agencies. It would result in the embezzlement of social charges, employers and a more or less significant part of wages employees” . Injury “could exceed one million euros”, criminal assets were seized: 39,000 euros and 2 vehicles. At the end of their police custody pronounced on Monday, “2 of the protagonists were presented before the investigating magistrate and indicted”. “The instigator was placed under arrest warrant and imprisoned”.
