Legislative in Toulouse: Maxime Boyer (LR) withdraws his candidacy
Deputy mayor of Toulouse and Les Républicains candidate for the first constituency of Haute-Garonne, Maxime Boyer has decided, for personal reasons, to withdraw his candidacy. Another LR candidate has been invested.
He had been wondering for a while and he announced his decision to his political party on Thursday evening. Maxime Boyer, deputy mayor of Toulouse and candidate invested by Les Républicains in the first constituency of Haute-Garonne (Toulouse center, Blagnac, Cornebarrieu), has decided to withdraw his candidacy. “I have new municipal delegations that take up a lot of my time. Delegations that I did not have when I asked for the nomination.” This “busy schedule” does not allow him to be “100% candidate”. Hence this decision “not easy to make”.
Neighborhood mayor, Maxime Boyer is also in charge of bicycle, pedestrian and traffic policy. Subjects that have become crucial in this mandate.
Maxime Boyer makes it clear that his decision does not show any rapprochement between his political party and the presidential majority represented by Pierre Baudis. “My decision is not the consequence of his arrival.”
Another LR candidate was invested in the person of Oscar Castillo Mendegris, LR activist, who was a candidate for the Departmental in Muret last year.
