Toulouse. Starting point for the Vélotour Occitanie
Velotour, the number 1 bicycle-leisure event in France is launching its year 2022 and packing its bags for the third time in the capital of the Occitanie region on May 15, the opportunity to discover or rediscover cultural, sporting or still historic closed to bikes.
After a previous edition that brought together more than 3,000 participants and visited 11 places, Vélotour Occitanie puts a new pedal stroke: for this new edition in the Pink City, 4,000 to 5,000 participants are expected to enjoy the 13 sites of the route which is renewed from year to year.
The start will be given from the Prairie des Filtres which will also be the arrival point of the ride and the supplies will take place at the Jardins du Barry.
On this new route, participants will therefore have the possibility of taking a 19km loop and the most motivated can continue with an optional 4.5km loop.
About Velotour
Vélotour, the event which has brought together 355,000 participants for 15 years and crossed 750 unusual sites by bike, returns from May to October. This season, 10 towns are hosting the event and showcasing their different facets, sites often closed to the public, quirky, unknown or even unmissable, during a 2 to 3 hour walk accessible to all.

The PURPAN engineering school
The PURPAN School of Engineering welcomes more than 1,200 students each year in its various training courses and exceptionally opens its doors to bicycles for this third edition of Vélotour Occitanie.
Hospital
Emblematic place of the city along the Garonne. You have already seen this building in photos or have already passed by it. This will be the last crossing point of the main loop of this 2022 edition.
