The construction of the A8 ramp is progressing slowly but surely
It aims to connect the A8 to the departmental network between La Turbie and Beausoleil.
Initially scheduled for 2022, the long-awaited project has been delayed. For good reason, a significant drop of 40m that must be filled and secured by respecting strict seismic standards and, more exceptionally, the presence of a beetle that must be taken care of.
The inauguration of the ramp is now scheduled for the first quarter of 2023. It will relieve congestion in the center of La Turbie as well as the Monaco tunnel on the A500 and facilitate access to the Principality for the 47,000 French employees. . No less than 3,000 vehicles will be configured daily on this future section.

Stéphane Valéri met, on May 6, Jean-Jacques Raffaele, Mayor of La Turbie, and Eric Ciotti, MP for the Alpes-Maritimes and President of the France-Monaco friendship group at the National Assembly. The opportunity for them to take stock of the progress of this strategic project for the region.
At the end of the visit, Stéphane Valeri was delighted with the materialization of this very important project to facilitate access to Monaco.
Financed both by Monaco and by France and the Escota / Vinci Autoroutes network. This construction site is part of a larger project which aims to facilitate access to Monaco. In this context, Monaco also participates in improving the rail network and supports the operation of the 100 bus line.
