Dutch GDP per one and a half times EU average
Luxembourg has the highest GDP per capita. The second place is and by Ireland, followed by Denmark. Bulgaria has almost 10 thousand euro is the lowest per capita GDP in the European Union. Dutch GDP per capita in 2021 the same as before corona
The GDP per of the Netherlands was back to the level of 2019 in 2021, the year the corona pandemic first broke out. In 2021, of course, GDP was 1 percent above 2019, but the population also grew about 1 percent during that period.

The Netherlands a spot when correcting for differences in price levels
The GDP per capita in Bulgaria is about a fifth that of the Netherlands. The differences in price between countries may be possible. For example, in the Netherlands you can use 1 euro buy fewer goods than in Bulgaria. The purchasing power of a euro in one country may therefore be less than in another. Eurostat for this in order to better compare the prosperity of inhabitants between countries.
The differences between countries are getting smaller. Taking into account a correction for the price level, the GDP per capita of Bulgaria is now about two fifths of the GDP per inhabitant of the Netherlands. The Netherlands moves up a spot in the ranking for GDP per capita starting price level to fourth place.
