A nice net made by the police of Angoulême (Charente). After five months of investigation and surveillance, four young men aged between 18 and 21 and a minor were arrested last Monday in the Angoumois region.
The investigators reinforced the reinforcement of two RAID teams, but also of the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) and two canine brigades specialized in the detection of narcotics and cash.
Drugs, gun and money
During searches at the homes of members of the network, the police seized 1.3 kg of cannabis resin, 195 grams of grass, 135 grams of cocaine, five tablets of ecstasy, but also 28,455 euros in cash, an automatic pistol of 9 mm caliber with its ammunition, as well as a bulletproof vest.
Three on remand
At the end of their police custody and three days of interview, the five young traffickers were referred this Thursday to the Angoulême prosecutor’s office for an immediate comparison scheduled for this afternoon. They requested and were granted time to prepare their defence. The hearing has been adjourned to June 9.
Three of the five accused have been remanded in custody pending trial. A fourth defendant was placed under judicial supervision. The minor, meanwhile, is the subject of other proceedings.
