Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov on Thursday, May 12, 2022, met in the regional government with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Poland Sergey Andreev.
The head of the region exchanged information with the diplomat. According to the ambassador, at present, in international relations, in addition to the Kaliningrad region, “there is more and more influence”.
“It was important for us that watches be checked with the Kaliningrad region, exchange information and reflect on how we managed to apply in that case in a prosperous region and Russia,” Andreev said.
The governor expressed his gratitude for observing the tradition of laying wreaths at the monument in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Red Army in Braniewo (Poland).
Sergei Andreev confirmed that the issues of the Kaliningrad region’s neighborhood with Poland are under special control at the Russian embassy.
In addition, visa issues were discussed.
