The Luxembourg Museum is taking us on board for an exceptional evening, this Saturday, May 14, 2022? on the occasion of the 18th edition of the Night of Museums. On the program: a free visit to the exhibition Pioneers, artists in the Paris of the Roaring Twenties.
For the 18th edition of the Museum Nightthe Luxembourg Museum opens its doors to us at night, Saturday, May 14, 2022. The opportunity for Parisians and art lovers to discover the building and the temporary exhibition of the moment, all in an atmosphere musical live unprecedented.
Few Parisians know that the Luxembourg Museum was the first French museum opened to the public in 1750, to then become from 1818, the first contemporary art museum. First installed within the Luxembourg Palacehe moved to an annex building created for the occasion in 1884… The Museum does not present permanent collections and lives according to the temporary exhibitions that it organizes and hosts.
And right now, it’s the women artists of the Roaring Twenties who are in the spotlight, with the exhibition Pioneers, artists in the Paris of the Roaring Twenties. An exhibition that we visit free this Saturday evening, to the rhythm of the melodies played by all Helios, which interprets works by Mel Bonis, Germaine Tailleferre, Marguerite Béclard d’Harcourt, Charlotte Sohy as well as an original creation by the young composer Lisa Heute around the figure of Marie Laurencin.
In any case, the opportunity to take advantage of this beautiful exhibition, to be discovered from a different perspective, at night and to music. In reserve, friends?
