Damien Comolli very confident about the club’s financial means for Ligue 1
After winning the Ligue 2 title and direct access to the top flight, the FC Toulouse can already plan for the next season. President Damien Comolli has already set the goals of the club in League 1 which will be first of all to remain in the first division and then in the medium term to integrate the “top 8of the championship.
But before that, the president of Violet spoke in The Midi Dispatch to reassure everyone about the finances of the club. The latter was quite confident about the financial means of Toulouse for his rise in the elite. His message is clear: he does not want to take from the coffers of the American investment fund red bird in the next three seasons after all the financial efforts they made last year.
“In our business plan required by the DNCG (National Directorate of Control and Management) over a period of three years, we do not need any capital contribution from RedBird, any cash contribution from RedBird. And we’ll be strong enough financially to support ourselves.“, suggested the president of Téfécé.
“It is a question of being clear on this subject: we do not need the money of the shareholder on the next three seasons. I remind you that RedBird has already absorbed a lot, at the request of the DNCG last summer. What we want, within the club, is to get out of this vicious circle of the French foot which consists in over-consuming and then turning to the owner to make up for the deficits. I can tell you that our model is currently making money, that we will make money in the future in order to reinvest in the club. Everything we release, we reuse in the team or the infrastructure.”
