The son of starred chef Yannick Alléno killed by a repeat offender who was driving a stolen car
Antoine Alléno, the 24-year-old son of multi-starred chef Yannick Alléno, which opened in April a Monegasque version of its Parisian “Pavyllon”died this Sunday, May 8 in the evening, after being hit in Paris by a fugitive who was traveling in a stolen car, reveals Le Figaro this Monday.
The Parisian daily describes the scene as follows: “Shortly after 11 p.m., a man stole an Audi RS6 in the 7th arrondissement of the capital. As he lost his flight, without a police vehicle in pursuit, he hit a VTC and a scooter, both stopped at a red light at the corner of place de la Résistance and avenue Bosquet, very close to the Alma bridge.”
The driver arrested
The driver of the scooter, Antoine Alléno, died on the spot. “Suffering from multiple bruises, the passenger of the scooter and the driver of the VTC were transported to the hospital without vital prognosis”, precise Le Figaro.
Immediately after the accident, the driver of the stolen vehicle “fleed on foot before being quickly arrested by an off-duty policeman”, the newspaper explains. According to a police source, “The suspect was wanted for a prison term to be served and for drunk driving”.
Father and son, both leaders, were destined to work together. In 2021, they launched “Burger Père et Fils par Alléno”, a range of luxury hamburgers, which they served in the heart of the famous wine cellar L’Allénothèque, in Paris. Yannick Alléno also held the Dior des Lices in Saint-Tropez, where several starred chefs have succeeded.
