Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur brings his fun sport to the Netherlands
Summer trend 2022: ‘game-changer’ CROSSNET reinvents volleyball and foot volley
Think of volleyball and then again: with four playing areas. Created by young American entrepreneurs, CROSSNET is literally a game-changer with the world’s first volleyball game played with a crossed net. The Miami brand is one of the fastest-growing funsports in the United States and is sold in more than 1,500 locations throughout the United States. Recently, the company also launched the CROSSNET Soccer edition. CROSSNET will be sold in the Netherlands as of this week by Intersport, BeachSport Nederland, BronSport and Nijha, among others.
Chris Maede, co-founder of CROSSNET and listed in the Forbes 30-under-30, didn’t like volleyball growing up; “It was too much for a newbie.” So in 2017, a young entrepreneur got his hands on his genesis and childhood friend and his genesis so that it is accessible and fun for everyone. Now CROSSNET is played by elite athletes for training, as well as by families and friends for funROSS simple rules and competitive nature. “It’s great that Europe is now experiencing the joy of CROSSNET.”
CROSSNET Volleyball and Football
CROSSNET became a volleyball game and sales in the US are impressive. In just four years, the brand grew into a multi-million dollar company selling hundreds of thousands of sets a year. As the brand expands into Europe, it personally also includes CROSSNET Soccer, a four-square-meter soccer edition based on the same rules. Especially in Europe, where football is by far the biggest sport, it is expected to become a popular variant of the game.
Fun, flexible and fast
CROSS Volleyball and CROSSNET Football can be played anywhere, set up in minutes and are easy to transport with the linked backpack that comes with the set. A set consists of a ‘crossnet’, a backpack, four steel tubes, four tension cords, ground anchors, two quadrant lines and one boundary line.
