The new trains that make Athens-Thessaloniki in less than 4 hours
The first of a total of five new, Italian ETR470 trains brought by TRAINOSE, will start, from Sunday, May 15, 2022, routes on the Athens-Thessaloniki route, making the journey in less than 4 hours.
These are essentially reconstructed trains, by Alstom, of clearly superior quality to the existing fleet leased by TRAINOSE from GAIAOSE.
In this way, the transfers will be made with safer and quality services.
The ETR470 trains have nine carriages, one of which is restaurants and bars, three first class carriages and four economy class cars. Each train can carry over 600 passengers and includes all the amenities, for a relaxing and fast journey, improving the experience experience.
The first morning train of the ETR470 train departs from Athens Station at 07:22, with a stopover in Larissa at 09:58 and arrival at Thessaloniki Station at 11:20. The next route of ETR470 departs from Athens Station at 17:22 with an intermediate stop in Larissa at 20:00 and arrival at Thessaloniki Station at 21:21.
Respectively, the first morning route of the ETR470 train departs from Thessaloniki Station at 07:08 with a stopover in Larissa at 08:09 and arrival at Athens Station at 11:03. The next route of ETR470 departs from Thessaloniki Station at 17:08 with an intermediate stop in Larissa at 18:08 and arrival at Athens Station at 21:04.
