Monaco returns to normal
In a late match of the 30th day of Betclic Elite, Monaco won by the narrowest of margins at Le Mans (83-84) and consolidated its second place between ASVEL and Boulogne-Levallois.
Monaco ignores European disappointment. After its elimination from the Euroleague, the “Roca Team” returned to the ordinary of the Betclic Elite on the Le Mans floor during a late match on the 30th day. A meeting which started with a crossover between the two formations and a gap which never exceeded four points during the first ten minutes. If the second quarter started at the same tempo, Monaco raised their voices as half-time approached. Under the impetus of Dwayne Bacon (17 points, 6 rebounds), the players of the Principality created a small gap of six points but that was without counting on the Manceaux. Finishing with an 8-1, the MSB took the lead by a length when they returned to the Antarès locker room.

Monaco provided the essential
Despite the absences of Mike James and Donta Hall, Monaco regained the advantage from the start of the third quarter but the lead of seven points constituted by the “Roca Team” melted in the last moments to be only two units ten minutes from the end of the meeting. A last quarter which saw the Manceaux hold on and even pass in front of the scoreboard. A one-point advantage that was ultimately not held. If, on the last action, Darius Johnson-Odom (25 points) passed a last three-point shot, it only allows the MSB to fail by one point behind Monaco (83-84). With this victory, the club from the Principality is more than ever second in the standings, one victory behind ASVEL. The third defeat in a row at Le Mans allows Limoges and Dijon to be sure of participating in the play-offs at the end of the season.
