Toulouse. A call for witnesses after sexual violence in the Church
A call for witnesses is launched because suspicions of sexual violence weigh on Dominican priests in Toulouse.
A new case of sexual violence affects the Church. The Order of Preachers of the Province of Toulouse calls for witnesses concerning acts of sexual violence Thursday, May 5.
“We ask anyone who has knowledge of reprehensible acts committed by a Dominican friar of the Province of Toulouse of the rapporteurs”, indicates a press release published by the Order.

This call for witnesses comes in because suspicions of sexual violence against a minor weighing on several Dominican priests. One of them has already been convicted for similar acts. “Dominican friars from the Province of Toulouse have been accused of serious acts of a sexual nature against minors, facts which have unfortunately been confirmed”, writes the Order.
” For the sake of protection and justice and truth with regard to people who have met the convents of the Province (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, Marseille, La Sainte Baume and Nice) or common places of apostolate (in particular Notre-Dame de Boscodon, Fanjeaux, Sylvanès), it is our duty to ensure that there is no had no other casualties. »
Two members of the Recognition and Reparation Commission will come to Toulouse May 30 and 31 to meet people who want it. They are invited to make themselves known by email, specifying whether they are direct or indirect victims or witnesses of facts that have been committed.
