Requalification of the Malaquis business park in Le Trait
The Malaquis business park in Le Trait is being developed to integrate it harmoniously into its natural environment. Work to begin.
A major river and maritime industrial zone on the Seine axis between Rouen and Le Havre, the Malaquis business park in Le Trait is home to around fifty companies, some of which are international in scope. The Métropole promotes this essential area for the territory and its attractiveness by undertaking works: renovation of the road network, organization of parking lots, installation of 115 new public solar lighting masts and creation of a cycle path allowing access to a relaxation area on the banks of the Seine. Modes of travel will be made safe with the creation of a roundabout and sidewalks adapted to PRM accessibility. The business park will eventually be adapted to the greenway from Trait to Duclair. 100 trees and 2,044 shrubs of local species will be planted and 5,000 m2 grassy areas will be created. These facilities are environmentally friendly and offer a pleasant and functional environment.
For Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolis, Mayor of Rouen, and Abdelkrim Marchani, Vice-President in charge of the economy, attractiveness, digital, Europe and international: ” The Metropolis is committed to the attractiveness of the territory! The requalification of the Malaquis business park was designed to adapt as well as possible to the needs of each company, with the aim of enhancing the economic basin of the Trait, essential to the city and the Metropolis. Meetings were organized during the pre-project phase, to carry out the work as closely as possible to the expectations of the users of this area. It is a pleasant, accessible and environmentally friendly business park, which will be completely transformed at the end of the work: revegetation, cycle path, solar lighting… Everything has been thought out to fit into the surrounding natural environment. »
