A young woman who was jogging Thursday evening in Revel (Haute-Garonne) was attacked by a man. He is still wanted.
The gendarmes have been working hard since Thursday evening, May 5, to get their hands on a man. The latter is suspected of having assaulted a young woman who was jogging in Revel, south of Haute-Garonne.
The facts would occur around 7 p.m. on the greenway, on the edge of the Tarn. The assailant, who was riding a bicycle, allegedly attacked his victim by strangling her so much that she lost consciousness. The man dragged her into the bushes, out of sight, to sexually assault her, confirms the public prosecutor Samuel Vuelta-Simon.

This woman in her twenties finally managed to free herself from the grip of her attacker thanks to the intervention of a walker who put the man on the run. She gave the alert. The firefighters took charge of him and the gendarmes of the Villefranche-de-Lauragais company collected his first story. The young woman was examined by a doctor.

The gendarmes’ investigation began immediately and the attacker has been wanted since Thursday evening. The area was combed through and a specialist dog was dispatched.
