Exit in Haute-Savoie. European Film Month in Annecy: Ukraine, Germany and Spain in the spotlight
The Departmental Center for the Promotion of Cinema (CDPC) has been organizing European Film Month from 2 to 31 May. About forty films on display in all genres, previews, events, guests…
For a long time, the CDPC coordinated the film meetings of Central Europe and Slovakia on Cran-Gevrier before the merger of the municipalities of Annecy. These events were linked to the twinning of Cran-Gevrier with Trencin in Slovakia. With the merger of the municipalities, the organizers see more.
On the program: a special Ukraine day at La Turbine, Sunday 8 May. With Donbass at 3.30 p.m., which sheds light on the origins of the conflict, and Rhinoceros at 6:45 p.m. from Oleg Sentsov. On May 18, 19 and 20 at 8 p.m., Le Mikado cinema celebrates Germany in collaboration with the RFA Annecy association.
Boss El Buon in preview
Friday, May 20 from 9 p.m., fantastic cinema night at La Turbine. Five films, like five terrifying stories by the fireside, punctuated by the animations of the young people of Gciné, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. A nocturnal veil which will begin with Ego , by Hannah Bergholm. Followed by Guillermo Del Toro’s cult film: The Devil’s Backbone. 20 euros for five films and breakfast.
From May 24 to 27, focus on Spanish cinema. A moment designed to highlight all the diversity of Hispanic cinema, in all genres.
And finally, the closing evening will be the opportunity to discover in preview Boss El Buon new film by Fernando León de Aranoa, carried by a Javier Bardem playing an unscrupulous company boss.
