Corendon moves to German airports because of chaos at Schiphol: ‘Not possible in the Netherlands’
It concerns the airports Münster/Osnabrück, Weeze, Düsseldorf and Cologne, which are a twenty to forty minute drive across the Dutch border. air holidays go to destinations in Turkey, Spain and Greece.
Corendon says it is taking the step to Germany not to have to sell to holidaymakers, now that many holidays are being booked again. Expanding the number of trips via Schiphol before the summer was not an option due to the chaos that started in recent weeks due to staff shortages and large numbers of travelers. Also at regional airports in the Netherlands there is no chance of a ‘large-scale launch’ in the short term.
‘New channel’
“This is permanent, for us Germany is a new channel and we will continue to offer time travel from German airports.”
Corendon’s Turkish sister company has been flying from Münster/Osnabrück, Weeze, Düsseldorf and Cologne for some time, which is why it is making the move to these airports. It has been agreed that Corendon can immediately use 100,000 seats for flying holidays for Dutch and Belgian holidaymakers.
