A stone’s throw from Luxembourg: Eleven women, including seven minors, drugged at the ball?
VIRTON – The list of complaints grows after last Saturday’s ball near Virton, Belgium near the border with Luxembourg, where young people say they were drugged.
While reporting seven complaints on Wednesday, Belgian justice announced on Friday that “to date, eleven victims had filed a complaint with the police”, suspecting of having been drugged during the ball organized last Saturday, on the night of April 30 to May 1, near Virton, about thirty kilometers from Luxembourg. The “Dampicourt youth club”, which organized the ball, also filed a complaint.
According to the Deputy Crown Prosecutor, Anne-Sophie Guilmot, “these are eleven female victims. Seven are minor and four are major. They report various symptoms felt during the evening and after, in particular nausea, vomiting, loss of consciousness, memory lapses, headaches, neck and stomach aches, drowsiness, stronger salivation, sore eyes.
Anne-Sophie Guilmot specifies that “four victims would have received an injection without their knowledge during the evening. The other seven rather suspect the presence of substance in their drink. The deputy prosecutor adds that “among the victims, eight underwent a blood and/or urine sample. The results are not known yet. The investigation is ongoing.” Other complaints, also concerning young men, have, according to our information, been lodged in the French border region.
