Toulouse: the rant of elected environmentalists against the mayor’s policy in favor of children
The group of elected environmentalists of Toulouse configured, Wednesday, May 4, Place du Capitole, to denounce the policy in favor of children of the mayor who signed, at the same time, an agreement with Unicef ”Toulouse, a child-friendly city “.
While the mayor of Toulouse and president of the metropolis Jean-Luc Moudenc signed, Wednesday, May 4, an agreement with Unicef called “Toulouse child-friendly city”, the elected representatives of the opposition (ecologist group) have at the at the same time organized a press briefing, place du Capitole, to criticize the municipal policy in favor of children.
The opportunity for elected ecologists to denounce several files, such as that of unaccompanied minors housed in the former Ehpad des Tourelles and threatened with expulsion or the case of little Omer Ali, educated at the Michoun school, whose father is currently in the Cornebarrieu detention center and is subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).
The question of atsem
The educational policy is also in the crosshairs of municipal councilors of the opposition who have degraded the “casualization of personnel in schools”, in particular through the reorganization of the working conditions of the territorial agents specialized in nursery schools (atsem).
“The mayor signs an agreement with Unicef, which is of course a good thing and we welcome the idea of undertaking numerous actions to serve the well-being of young Toulouse residents, but the question arises of the consistency of this commitment and a certain number of acts of Jean-Luc Moudenc, wonders the municipal councilor Antoine Maurice. Vis-à-vis first of all our schools which are undermined in terms of the drop in the supervision rate – one facilitator for 18 children against 14 previously, Ed –, the reorganization of the working time of atsem which degrades their working conditions. It is also the silence, even the complicity of Jean-Luc Moudenc, compared to other actions: the unaccompanied minors of the Tourelles who are left without a solution of accommodation. Mr. Moudenc must be the mayor of all Toulousains and all the children of Toulouse. »
