On Sunday 26 June 2022, the Republic of San Marino will set the scene for the race that has no equal in the racing world. The appointment is at 11 am, at the Porta del Paese. 40 vehicles without engines, built by as many teams selected on 11 March, will throw themselves headlong along the slopes of Monte Titano in an attempt to amaze the jury and thus conquer the victory of the 2022 edition of the Red Bull Soapbox Race.

Red Bull Soapbox Race: Crazy and brave drivers wanted
In the shadow of the walls that surround what is now considered the oldest republic in the world, the crews entered in the race will drive their extravagant and original cars on the cars that wind their way from the door that gives access to the Historic Center ‘UNESCO Humanity. The engine that will propel the cars? The force of gravity of coursecombined with a good dose of muscle boost generously and spontaneously offered by the members of each team.
The Red Bull Soapbox Race 2022 will be broadcast exclusively on DMAX (Discovery group, digital terrestrial channel 52) in July, together with the exciting highlights of the race, the hilarious “behind the scenes” and the hilarious interviews with the protagonists. To write and comment on the show will be provided by the The Jackalready to return to DMAX again after the success of the final of the 2021 edition of the Red Cliff Diving World Series, while judging the crews in the race will provide an inflexible jury ready to evaluate each team under three distinct: originality, extravagance and spirit of invention.
Out of 40 finalist teams, 5 were exclusively chosen from among projects carried out by university students. As well as for the top three ranking teams, a staggering prize is also expected for the best university project: a voucher valid for a guided tour inside the Factory of the AlphaTauri Scuderiathe Formula 1 team based in Faenza (RA).

The protagonists of the race, therefore, will have little more than a month at their disposal to better prepare themselves for the steep descents of Monte Titano. Then the competition will begin, and at that point… may the best win!
