Monaco eliminated by Olympiakos

Monaco had the opportunity to write a new page in the French basket during a decisive match against Olympiakos in the quarter-finals of the Euroleague. But the Roca Team players failed to defeat the Greek giant to reach the Euroleague semi-finals, which would have been a first for 25 years for a team in the French championship. In a room in Piraeus in turmoil, the Monegasques made a perfect start to the match. Led by a boiling hot Ouattara at the three points, Monaco achieved a first feat: instilling doubt in the minds of Olympiakos and making the ultras sing less loudly. At the break, the residents of the French championship led 41-48. The end of the match, however, was always to the advantage of the locals (28-18 in the 4th QT), overexcited, like its thousands of supporters in the stands. 10 seconds from the end of the game, the ultras, unleashed, made their first foray into the field. After an interruption by the referee and a discussion with the officials, the match was able to go to an end and allow Olympiakos to join the Final 4, in Belgrade, on May 19, against Efes Istanbul.
